How Retail Real Estate Network Membership Has Changed

With the transformation from MSCA to RENET, our memberships have gone through some changes, too. You and your company still have all the same great benefits at the same price, but some of the operations have changed.

RENET now offers a Seat-Based Company Membership. What does this mean?

The membership is attached to the company, not an individual, but it includes X number of seats (e.g., 3 seats, 10 seats, etc.).
Each seat is assigned to a specific individual who gets full member benefits.
If an individual leaves, the company can reassign the seat to another staff member.
Seats are typically named, meaning each one is tied to a particular person at any given time.

- Affiliate Seats (non-voting members)

Outstate Membership

OUTSTATE MEMBERSHIP

$300 annually

For individuals/companies outside the Twin Cities metro area – your office phone must have an area code other than 612, 651, 763, or 952. Outstate members have voting rights - only one per company.

Note: Dues payments to the Retail Real Estate Network Minnesota are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. However, they may be deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses. In accordance with IRS regulations, 43% of your 2026 annual dues is allocated to prior lobbying activities and therefore is not deductible. We have discontinued lobbying at this time.

General Membership

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP
$450 Annually

For the first (or only) individual at a company. General members have voting rights on behalf of the company.

AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP

For any additional individuals at a company that already has a General member. Affiliate members do not have voting rights; this ensures each company gets just one vote.
